This collection contains marriage records from the Karelia region, Finland, between the years 1684 and 1923. Records typically include the name of the groom and the bride, their year of birth, the date and place of marriage and their fathers’ name. Some records include the marriage officiant and the witnesses who attend.<br><br>The Finnish province of Karelia is now split between Russia and Finland, resulting in the migration of many of those contained in these records to other parts of the country.
